Went for my appt today. Dr Garrood was happy with the bloods, so thats something!! have to go once a month now. Had an examination and he wants to do a scan next time to see disease activity. Had a big steroid jab in hip. He also feels the fibro is quite active and to see my GP to get the pregabelin increased. Will try, but my GP last time said he needed the consultants permission. At the moment he is leaving the other meds as they were, as he doesnt want to add meds that are not needed, so that makes sense. I have to start decreasing the pred, on 7.5mg now, and to go to 5mg by doing one day of each. As I go on holiday on 14th August, I think I will leave doing tht until I get back, dont want to have a flare while we are away. Oh, and my notes have disappeared!! so had to repeat stuff to him. So, on the whole a good appt and will go back in October.Smile

Hi Barbara,

What a good appointment. I am pleased you've had a steroid in the hip- I had mine done under the ultra sound but you can obviously do it without!

I hope and pray it brings you great relief- do rest as much as possible, preferably lying down.

Much love,

Amanda

Hope the increase in the drugs helps Barbara and you manage to get some sunshine on your holiday. I bet you won't know what to do with yourself with no children around. Make the most of it.

Hi Barbara, hope you have a lovely holiday. I live in Hampshire, opposite the Isle of Wight, the forecast is good for the rest of August according to the long range weather, so have a good one!

take care
